Education
Children's Sunday School

We welcome children at Washington Plaza Baptist Church. Through a rotation
system of loving volunteers, we currently offer children's Sunday School
at 11am. All volunteers are screened and trained in child education and
safety. The curriculum we are using is called Bible Fun. From Cokesbury
Publishing, Bible Fun is specifically designed for a children's Christian
education program where four or more age groups are taught in one classroom.
Students will grow together through comprehensive Bible study, application
of Bible lessons to everyday discipleship, and a variety of age-appropriate
activities. It is a great opportunity for children to work together with
a group of all ages and for older children to begin to learn more about
mentoring those who are younger than them.
"Congratulations, You're Gifted" class
Beginning Sunday, January 15th and continuing through Sunday, January 29th
Pastor Elizabeth will be teaching the Bible Class at 9:30 am on the topic
of "Congratulations, You're Gifted!" It will be a three-part series
focusing our attention on the spiritual gifts that God gives each of us.
If you know what your spiritual gifts are or have studied them before or
have no idea what this is, this class is for you. All Church Council Members
are strongly encouraged to attend.
Adult Sunday Morning Bible Study
| Come one, come all
to Adult Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. We currently have
two ongoing classes for adults. The first class meets at 9:30 am in the Plaza Room. |
Noon Bible Study for Ladies
This group is made up of 6 to 12 women and has been in existence about 35 years. It is open to all senior women in and out of WPBC.
The group uses a study book in seeking the meaning of God's word. Our goal is to get the 'essence' of the Bible through reading, discussion and understanding while applying our insights to daily living.
Meeting once a month at different homes for study has led to forming a close bond of fellowship and Christian love.
