Friday Night Dinner Mini Retreats

WPBC FRIDAY NIGHT Dinner is coming soon! Mark your calendars for Friday, January 27th.

We'll gather at 6:30 pm for a Chili Cook-off with all the fixins' (See hospitality chair, Bruce Freitas to volunteer to bring something) and welcome special guest, Beth Dotson from Chattanooga, TN who will lead a session of "Congratulations, You're Gifted" as an extension of the Sunday morning discussion.

Childcare will be provided if we know you are coming. Email Janine Mohl.

Our dinner speaker, Beth, is currently the Director of Client Services at Channels of Love, a AIDS outreach ministry and serves alongside her husband Danny, in the summers as a leader of the Son Servants Youth Camp ministry that takes youth to needy communities nationally and internationally for mission experiences. Beth has known Pastor Elizabeth for over 15 years as her teacher and co-leader on mission trips. Our pastor knows first hand that you will be blessed to learn from Beth.

Everyone will leave knowing what their spiritual gifts for ministry with confidence to begin to use them for the good.

Help BUILD OUR FUTURE - Capital Fund campaign

Help us continue to build our future! We have an ongoing capital funds campaign to help offset the cost of our renovations. We replaced the roof, made some extensive exterior brick repairs, replaced most of the windows on the third floor (including the large window in the pastor's office), and repaired the flying pulpit on the front of the building. The money for these repairs has and will come from this capital funds campaign, money set aside in this year's operating budget, and a loan.

Donation cards and envelopes can be found in the pews, on the vestibule table, and in the church office. Or you can email Deb Krahling, the church administrator, and request one. Record your contribution by completing the card and enclosing it together with your check in the envelope, and place in the offering plate (or mail it to the church at 1615 Washington Plaza West Reston VA 20190 ATTN: Deb Krahling or Capital fund). Please remember to indicate "Capital fund" or "brick" in the memo line of your check.

Thank you for joining us in supporting this restoration project of our facilities so that our church can be a spiritual home for present and future generations.
